The Grand Opera House
The Grand Opera House is located at 100 High Avenue in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. A restored Victorian theater, The Grand was built in 1883 and renovated during the 1980s. This beautiful facility is owned by the City of Oshkosh and has been managed by the Oshkosh Opera House Foundation since 1990.

The Oshkosh Opera House Foundation
The Foundation is responsible for The Grand's rental activity as well as providing a fine arts season of national and international touring artists. Each year, over 25 public performances and approximately 30 youth events comprise the fine arts season with another 100 activities, including community theater, corporate meetings and weddings, filling The Grand to capacity.

The Intimate Atmosphere
The 668-seat house has the intimacy of a European-style theater with near-perfect acoustics. The Victorian décor is accentuated with velvet seats, a ladies' warming room and marble fireplaces. But it is the beauty and uniqueness of the hall in every detail, from the cherub ceiling to the 42-square historical needlepoint tapestry, that continue to draw artists and audiences from around the world.
