Producer Circle Events for the 2012-13 Season have been announced!
Membership in the Producer Circle at The Grand Opera House starts with a $500 donation and includes invitations to attend special Producer Circle events not typically open to the general public.
This program not only helps to raise the necessary funds to sustain the operation of The Grand, it also provides a unique opportunity to experience Wisconsin's oldest operating theatre building that are not normally available to the general public.
We hope you'll consider becoming a Producer Circle member. For more information, contact The Grand administrative office at (920) 424-2355.
PRODUCERS CIRCLE EVENTS 2012-13
HAUNTED HAPPY HOUR
Tuesday, October 30, 2012, 6:00 PM
Enjoy Haunted Happy Hour in the Grand Lounge, with hors d’oeuvres to make your tummy happy as well. The evening continues a private evening of The SPIRITS OF THE GRAND tours, where 1880s “ghost hunters” lead you on an interactive tour of 130 years of history and unexplained stories in the allegedly-haunted Grand Opera House.
ANNUAL MEETING AND DINNER
Wednesday, November 14, 6:00 PM (cocktails at 5:30 PM)
Enjoy dinner on stage and a review of The Grand’s past season and future plans. Guest speaker is James O’Connell, Executive Director of The Grand Theatre in Wausau. Jim will talk about the experiences at “his” Grand, and how they closely parallel those of “our” Grand, as arts organizations throughout the country come to terms with the “new normal” of arts presenting.
“BENEATH THE SOCK”—LAMB CHOP AFTER DARK
Friday, December 7. 6:00 PM
Available to members at the $1000 level and higher, due to seating limitation
Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Grand Lounge. In the style of “Inside the Actors Studio”, Grand director Joe Ferlo will host an up-close-and-personal conversation with the world’s most famous sock-puppet, Lamb Chop, and her “sister”, Mallory Lewis, daughter of the legendary Shari Lewis. This grown-up (but g-rated) interview precedes Mallory and Lamb Chop’s matinee performance the following day.
“CONFESSIONS OF A BROADWAY ACCOMPANIST” with Bill Zeffiro
Thursday, January 17, 6:00 PM
Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Grand Lounge. In his more than 30 years as a performer and pianist in New York, Bill Zeffiro has seen it all! Bill will share stories about some of the artists he’s worked with, take some time to entertain you with some of his own vocals, and finish with a mini-cabaret performance that will star some of your local favorites. Rumor has it that Bill and Joe Ferlo (college classmates) might even duet for the first time in over 30 years!
“I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE”—afterglow
Friday, February 15, following the performance (performance tickets required separately)
The perfect Valentine’s Day weekend show for couples of all ages! Join the Oshkosh Community Players cast following the performance for pizza and drinks, and enjoy an informal time with the cast and crew and their loved ones, as they tell you about their experience onstage and behind-the-scenes. We also encourage you to see the show that evening, and we’ll help you with your ticket purchase if you like!
“SPRING INTO SUMMER” with John Kelley & Friends
Thursday, June 6, 6:00 PM
Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Grand Lounge. We’ll celebrate the season-just-ended with a night of jazz and Broadway favorites, courtesy of the Green Bay- based John Kelley Ensemble. The John Kelley Ensemble is an eclectic blend and intense fusion of Classical, Jazz, Rock and Musical Theatre.
RSVPs are requested for all events. Each event is preceded by a reminder invitation, but feel free to mark the dates now!
