If you are attending your first performance at The Grand, here are some frequently asked questions to help make your experience more enjoyable.
When should I arrive?
Every effort is made to begin all events on time. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house manager when a suitable break in the performance occurs. To keep distractions to a minimum, latecomers may be placed in available seating and will have the opportunity to move to their reserved seats during an intermission. If you need to leave your seat at any time during a performance, please do so at an appropriate break. The main lobby and Grand Lounge is open one hour prior to most performances.
Can I bring my cellular phone?
Cellular phones and/or electronic paging systems are asked to be turned off before entering the theater. If emergency notification might be required, the House Manager contact number is (920) 203-0643. Leave that number with those who may need to reach you, along with your exact seat location (section, row and seat number).
Can I take pictures?
Cameras as well as other recording devices can create major distractions for the artists and audience members around you, in addition to violating copyright laws. As a result, no cameras, video equipment or tape recorders are permitted.
Can I bring my children?
Although children of all ages are welcome at most Grand Opera House performances, parents should use their best judgment when bringing a child to any event. Every child two years of age and older must have a ticket. When purchasing tickets, please note that certain performances may have specific “ratings” and suggestions to appropriate age ranges.
How long is a typical performance?
Program length varies, but a typical Grand Opera House performance lasts approximately one hour and a half to two hours and often includes one intermission. If you need to know how long a specific performance will last, call The Box Office at (920) 424-2350 for an estimated length.
